ELECTRONICS TEST TECHNICIAN II OR III

3 OCTOBER 2019


SUMMARY:

Setup test apparatus and conduct tests of production electronic assemblies and units following established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. Has a basic understanding of electronic circuitry. Occasional heavy lifting of up to 60 lbs may be required.


RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS:
    • Setup and use various measuring and testing devices; multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers
    • Understand and carry out written instructions
    • Conduct tests and identify component faults
    • Perform troubleshooting utilizing approved drawings and schematics
    • Provide written/verbal instructions to production technicians for making adjustments or replacing parts or components
    • Maintain record of test results with attention to detail
    • Maintain and repair test equipment as needed
    • Interface with other disciplines as may be required in the performance of testing and troubleshooting
    • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Technical school training or Associates Degree in Electronics is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
    • Two or more years of experience testing electronic boards and assemblies utilizing measuring and testing devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) is required.
    • Trouble shooting experience, as well as the ability to read schematics and drawings is required.
    • Ability to recommend adjustments or replacement components is strongly preferred.
    • Must be able to maintain and repair test equipment.
