Field / Depot Technician II

Functions as a Depot Technician in support of troubleshooting and repair operations down to the circuit card assembly component level. High focus on reading schematics and troubleshooting electronics to determine the root cause of a failure or identified issue in order to perform timely repairs. Functions as a Field Technician in support of exercises, demonstrations, and tests as required. Provides technical support services for products and ensures performance. The individual will be based in Mesa and travel to locations as assigned. Travel to worldwide locations is required for periods of up to 2-6 weeks at a time. Ability to obtain Security Clearance is required. Occasional heavy lifting of up to 60 pounds is required.

    • Conducts troubleshooting of assemblies, cables, and circuit cards and recommends the best course of action for repair.
    • Performs the repairs as recommended or indicated.
    • Performs electromechanical assembly and fabrication as needed.
    • Utilizes test equipment for analyzing problems and perform appropriate testing and troubleshooting of repaired items.
    • Responsible for entry and accuracy of Depot related data entered into the Company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
    • Responsible for entry and accuracy of Customer-provided ERP depot-related data.
    • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all ICE systems and how they interact with tactical systems.
    • Coordinates the receipt, repair and shipment of depot level repairs received from customers or from ICE field sites.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • High school diploma or its equivalent required. Associates Degree in Electronics preferred.
    • 2–4 years experience troubleshooting down to the circuit card assembly or component level; electronic maintenance and repair is mandatory.
    • Ability to read schematics required.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills required.
    • IPC 610/620 certification strongly preferred.
    • Experience building cables and terminating to MIL-SPEC connectors desired.
    • Ability to work in high visibility, somewhat stressful environments is desirable.
    • Ability to obtain Security Clearance is required.

SALARY: $26.35 - $34.92/HOUR DOE
